Bookmark Blessing

It’s not your everyday run-of-the-mill bookmark.

It’s big: 11.5 inches long and four inches wide

It’s blue.

It’s double sided, laminated, and methodically cut with a scrapbooker’s pinking scissors.

It’s beautiful.

It’s a blessing.

One handmade bookmark brings blessings to each morning

Extraordinary Blessings Are Simple Blessings

An extraordinary lady, a friend and a teacher of the Bible, spent one late night creating bookmark blessings for the women in her study group. I was one of them.

She patiently typed into her Word Doc. 54 verses about “acceptance,” “security,” and “significance” that grace the front and back of the bookmark. These are written blessings she wants us to have and keep close by, so she sears His promises to the paper with her laminator. Clever girl! Eleven years later my much-handled, well-traveled bookmark blessing stands strong. Each morning I pick it up, think of her, think of Him, and blessings pour out once more.
